Before, we only add pictures to offer you, but now, Capcom has released a trailer showing the "new" characters of Ultra Street Fighter 4 in action.
The footage begins with some highlights from last year's Street Fighter tourney, but if you'd rather skip right ahead to the new fighter footage, it starts at the 1:40 mark.
Footage is rather light on the new fighters, but from the looks of things, it doesn't look like there have been a whole lot of changes to each fighter from either their recent appearances in Street Fighter X Tekken.
As you might have guessed, standing 8 feet tall, Hugo is still the brute of the bunch, while the others are rather light on their feet. Much like he was during his Street Fighter III debut, Hugo slow speed makes him not the best choice for combos, instead dealing out damage with very strong attacks. Given his large size, he's able to soak up a lot of damage then most other fighters.
His Final Fight partner and wrestling manager Poison is quick on her feet, utilizing a combination of pro wrestling and street fighting techniques from her days with the Mad Gear gang. She also has some shoto-styled fireballs and rising uppers.
Rolento might be the best balanced of the new characters, not as agile as Poison or Elena, but causes significantly more damage with his array of military armaments.
Much like she always has been, Elena still looks like she's all about kicks n' tricks, using the dance martial art Capoeira to keep opponents on their toes.
Ultra will be available sometime in 2014. Apart from that, Capcom hasn't offered a more specific release window. The game is sticking to current consoles only, meaning no PlayStation 4, and no Xbox One.
The game will release in two forms, with the player picking whichever they like. Either they can get it as a $15 DLC upgrade if they already have Street Fighter 4, or if you don't, there will be a physical release with Ultra loaded and ready to go. No cost details on the full release though.
Likewise, there's still no information on the mysterious new fifth fighter joining Elena and the rest of the former Mad Gear posse. According to Capcom's senior product manager Matt Dahlgren, this new mysterious fighter is brand spanking new to the Street Fighter universe, having never appeared in a Street Fighter game, let alone any other Capcom fighter until Ultra.
We'll keep you posted once Capcom decides to reveal his/her/its identity, and any other information.
