Obviously the two dirt merchants love selling their weed wares up and down the Garden State, from the Quick Stop to the Mooby's up the block. Actually, that doesn't really qualify as up and down the state. For the sake of argument, let's just say they stick to just south of the Raritan, with brief forays into Pittsburgh now and again. Anywho, they're still doing some business expansion, this time of the virtual variety, in PopCap's sequel to the tower defense styled Plants vs. Zombies.
While snoogans and his portly partner are more apt to peddle plants that would only serve to make buyers that much hungrier, they also enjoy the kind of plants offered up in the game. No shame in loving something that will save your brains from becoming zombie food. Such is the case in this mini-movie featuring Jason Mewe's as the longtime dealer, accompanied by his hetero lifemate.
It's the first time the "two" (you can see the level of Smith's involvement, but he's promoting it on his twitter) have teamed up with MTV since the long gone days of the 90's when the channel still showed music videos, screwed up puppets and even weirder cartoons. Actually, I could be wrong on the team up bit, I just wanted to remind you that there was once a point to MTV besides reality programming.
You can check out the three part series below, which will be the most recent time you've seen Mr. Mewes revive his role as the marijuana merchandinser, at least until Smith decides that Clerks III is all ready for viewing (the script is finished by the way). As mentioned, the mini-movies are an MTV exclusive for the time being, so be prepared to sit through some advertisements.
Plants vs. Zombies 2: It's About Time is out now down under. Originally scheduled for a July 18th release, the game should hit the rest of the world later this summer on Windows and various iOS devices. PopCap is going the free to play route this time around (though tith PopCap now in EA's hands, I wouldn't put it past the company to throw in some Jay n' Bob DLC), and will be offering new levels, plants, zombies, as well as time travel. If you need to feed your PvZ addiction, there's a version of the game on Facebook, Plants vs. Zombies Adventures, that's currently in beta stage.
