"Pokemon Sun and Moon" transfer of old Pokemon will start as soon as the update goes live in January, 2017. However, since "Pokemon Sun and Moon" are reportedly not compatible with the game's Generation 6 series, the players will need a Pokemon Bank to transfer an old Pokemon.
The Generation 6 of games, Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire as well as Pokemon X and Y are not allowed to battle or trade between "Pokemon Sun and Moon." With that, the players will need a special app called the Pokemon Bank in order to transfer their Pokemon.
Aside from that, the transfer of an old Pokemon into "Pokemon Sun and Moon" White 2, White, Black 2, Black and the Virtual Console games like Pokemon Blue, Red and Yellow can also be possible with a Poke Transporter that comes bundled with the Pokemon Bank. The apps are reportedly available for download on the Nintendo eShop for 3DS, with an annual service fee of $4.99.
The transfer of old Pokemon to "Pokemon Sun and Moon" through the use of a Pokemon Bank will allow the players to upload and keep up to 3000 Pokemon on the internet, IGN reported. Furthermore, the app also works similar to the PCs inside the Pokemon Centers in "Pokemon Sun and Moon" game that allows viewing and sorting of Pokemon. The service, however, does not come for free.
Meanwhile, "Pokemon Sun and Moon" is rumored to likely include on the Nintendo Switch game line up. Recent reports also suggest that a third game called the Pokemon Stars is currently being developed, and expected to work well with the "Pokemon Sun and Moon."
In addition, the game line up was reportedly leaked by a Nintendo insider, including the release dates for the Nintendo Switch via Twitter. In other news, Nintendo Switch is also reported to feature in its release the games "3D Mario," "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim," "Mario Rabbids RPG" and "Just Dance 2017," according to report.
