What a great time to get some fitspiration! The “Victoria's Secret Fashion Show” is one of the most awaited fashion shows every year. The famous lingerie line “Victoria’s Secret” has made it a tradition where they annually organize this show since 1996. Famous names in the modelling industry like Heidi Klum, Gisele Bündchen, Karolina Kurkova and Tyra Banks have all walked the fashion show. It has also launched careers of models like Adriana Lima, Miranda Kerr and Maroon 5 Adam Levine’s wife, Behati Prinsloo.
“Victoria's Secret Fashion Show” is known for their creative line-up of themed sections. Each piece shown in the show are creatively put together by various artisans. The team takes one year of creative process to come up with the pieces showcased in the show since all of them are handmade.
New faces of Victoria’s Secret
Every year, “Victoria’s Secret” conducts a casting or go-see to those aspiring to be one of “Victoria’s Secret” angels. This year, Harper Bazaar shares the new girls of “Victoria's Secret Fashion Show” 2016. New models who will walk the runway this December 2016 are Bella Hadid, Dilone, Alanna Arrington, Brooke Perry, Lais Olivera, Herieth Paul, Lameka Fox, Luma Grothe, Zuri Tibby, Georgia Fowler, Megan Williams, Maggie Laine, Keke Lindgard, Jourdana Elizabeth, Xiao Wen Ju and Grace Elizabeth. Every year, “Victoria's Secret Fashion Show” picks a new set of performers to grace their runway. This year, Glamour Magazine confirmed that Multi-Grammy Award winners Lady Gaga, who recently launched her new album “Joanne,” Bruno Mars who also released recent album “24k Magic” and “Starboy” singer The Weeknd will all perform in the runway. This line-up definitely guarantees a great night of fun, creative music!
2016 Fantasy Bra
Every year, “Victoria's Secret Fashion Show” showcases their Fantasy Bra which costs at least $1 million dollars (in 1996) and $12.5 million dollars (in 2001 and 2005). The Fantasy Bra worth $3 million dollars this year will be worn by Jasmine Tookes who has walked for Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show since 2012 and just earned her "Angel Wings" last year. According to People, when she found out about the news, she shared that she never thought she would be given the chance to do so. She also said that she has always looked up to “Victoria’s Secret” models like Heidi Klum and Tyra Banks. Her being given a chance to wear the Fantasy bra is surreal.
