The annual Game Awards will be on Thursday, December 1. It is a yearly assembly of awards and game trailers, of developers and of announcements. There are already a number of games and studios that have confirmed their attendance. Here is a rundown and some theories on what's coming out.
"Bullet Storm" HD Remaster
Randy Pitchford, Gearbox founder, recently on Twitter said that the company has something that "Duke" fans would really enjoy. He added that the announcement will happen on December 1. Two months ago, Brazilian ratings board accidentally announced "Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition" HD Remaster, tied to Gearbox as publisher. "Bulletstorm" and "Duke" share the same passion for their love of chaos and sense of humor. There is also a big possibility of another planned surprise, according to PCGames.
"Mass Effect: Andromeda" Gameplay
In its social media accounts, the "Mass Effect" has been posting teasers, as well as new trailers expected to come out at The Game Awards 2016 for the past weeks. So far, developers have only been releasing tech demos for console upgrades and screenshots.
Telltale's "The Walking Dead" and "Guardians of the Galaxy"
Telltale enjoys The Game Awards. Last year, the team showed up to tease its then-ongoing Batman series. TGA's Twitter account reveals they'll be at this year's show, too. It is believed that "Guardians of the Galaxy" will be the surprise as confirmed by the voice actors' guild during strike action.
Geoff Keighley of TGA is very good at keeping at least one big reveal unknown. There are rumors of "No Man's Sky" console-only games and new information on the "Assassin's Creed" movie. BioWare's blow out might be the main event or maybe "FF7HD." Hideo Kojima is also expected on the TGA to collect awards.
The Game Awards 2016 will be live on every gaming screen plus VR. It will be held at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, as shown on the official website.
