In "Pokemon Sun and Moon," shiny Pokemon refers to rare color varieties of regular pocket monsters. Such types of creatures have been around for a long time already but the chance of finding or seeing one is quite low.
If a "Pokemon Sun and Moon" player really want it, he should be able to give it some time and he can get his Shiny starter Pokemon. The steps to take are not difficult so as long as players are dedicated, they can have it in no time.
First, a player must save the game after being saved by Tapu Koko from falling down the bridge. In "Pokemon Sun and Moon," this will happen before the player talk to Lillie on the topic of going back to town.
Second, now is the time to talk to Lillie. At the bottom of the screen, she can be found standing in the middle of two totems.
Third, save here so you can go back after soft reset. Cutscene will now begin and you can go to Kahuna at the festival so she can hand you your Starter Pokemon.
In "Pokemon Sun and Moon," it is possible that a player may not get his Shiny Pokemon right away. If this happens, since you save already save your progress, you can soft reset to return in the third step.
Take note that if you failed to save and you soft reset, you will have to start from the beginning. This means, you need to go through the entire process from step 1 in "Pokemon Sun and Moon."
Fourth, after choosing your Starter Pokémon, there is no way of knowing if it is Shiny. Once you are able to give it a nickname, then you will know. In case your selection in "Pokemon Sun and Moon" did not turned out to be Shiny Pokemon, do the soft reset process and start over.
As a "Pokemon Sun and Moon" player, keep in mind that for each reset you do in the game to get Shiny, you will return in front of Lillie and that will be the starting point where you have to begin again. You may get frustrated from resetting over and over but that is the only way to get Shiny starter. Finally, soft resetting in "Pokémon Sun and Moon" is easy, simply press L+R+SELECT and you will see Lillie again.
