"Divergent Series: Ascendant" is going to be a TV movie according to Lionsgate films. This is already a shocker considering the film series was considered to be the next "Twilight." While the first two film got good box office numbers, the bad reviews finally caught up with the series as the third film got poor returns. This in part forced the studio to prioritize other titles in their shelves and announced that the final "Divergent" film won't be making the silver screen.
According to reports, things are even going for a worse turn as co-stars Shailene Woodley and Theo James are rumored to be having some problems in their friendship. The details are scarce as to why the two stars of "Divergent Series: Ascendant" are currently embroiled in some bad blood. But to be fair, the fallout could also stem with the cast member's discontent with their film becoming a TV spinoff.
