Brooklyn Nets is in dire need of Jeremy Lin's skills but he has not yet appeared in any games of the team because of an injury. The group is hoping to survive their upcoming games even with Lin's absence.
Lin's injury and absence
For the past nine games of the Nets, Lin was not able to play due to a strained left hamstring. This caused the team five consecutive losses which they need to recover from. But can they do it without the Linsanity star?
It may take a bit more time before Lin can come back to playing basketball. He is reportedly doing well with his recovery but he has not yet been given clearance to properly practice for a game.
On Friday, the Nets will face the Indiana Pacers and Lin is not yet expected to play. Team coach Kenny Atkinson has explained that they will not rush Lin's recovery meaning his teammates must make ends meet to get past their next games with a win.
Is team falling without Lin?
In an earlier interview, Coach Atkinson said they are doing the best they can to do well in their games even without Lin. "I keep talking about slippage - we've slipped, and it's part of the NBA. We've got to regroup and look at it and try to find areas we can help our guys," he added.
The Nets coach said there are other players on his team who are contributing points to the team like Sean Kilpatrick. He shared his hope that his team can adjust to the playing field without Lin.
Observers, however, note that the Nets still need to do a lot more to be able to match the power of their opponents and emerge victorious with their next games. Which player do you think can help the Nets improve their game?
