Though reports have confirmed that Mass Effect 4 and Dragon Age: Inquisition will share the Frostbite 3 engine, it looks like the two will be sharing a lot more.
IGN has reported Tweets that give insight into the creation of two of Bioware's most highly anticipated RPGs.
The gaming site found tweets from Bioware Montreal's studio director Yanick Roy who twitted a picture of Mass Effect 4's design document.

After a fan asked how far along the project was in relations to the huge notebook, Roy mentioned that development started "a while ago" and that the team is borrowing some of the game system from Dragon Age 3: Inquisition.
@shinobi602 Don't worry: we have a large and talented team, we started a while ago, and we are "borrowing" a lot of game systems from DA3. — Yanick Roy (@YanickRRoy) June 18, 2013
When asked about the extent of the borrowing, Roy said that Mass Effect 4 is being used from Dragon Age 3: Inquisition's "core systems" which keeps them from starting "from scratch."
Considering that Dragon Age 3: Inquisition was given its first trailer at EA's press briefing last week during E3, it may be farther along in development than Mass Effect 4.
Monday, Roy posted another tweet asking Mass Effect fans what they wanted in the next game's trailer.
When we release a teaser trailer for the next ME, like DA3 just did, what would you like to see? What question would you like answered?

According to Trusted Reviews, Mass Effect 4 will take place in a new universe and players may be able to take control of an existing character like Garrus, Grant or even the Illusive Man. Bioware has made it known that Commander Shepard won't be playable considering his fate during Mass Effect 3's climax.
Published by EA, Dragon Age 3: Inquisition is set for a 2014 release while Mass Effect won't hit retail until 2015 for Xbox One, Playstation 4 and PC.
