Needless to say, this year’s E3 went on to be a blast as expected. With fans and critics coming across a number of heavily anticipated titles and other information related to what’s in store for us as the year winds up, we were treated both good and some not so good information (Xbox one always online requirement being one of them).
However, we are only sticking to the titles that were announced and how they looked at their first detailed overview. Now, with all the festivities of the event coming to an end, it’s time we take a look back at what grasped our attention the most.
The list below contains a number of announced titles although it may not agree with the same list you have in mind (everybody has a list in mind). However, it is a fair attempt to bring out the best from all others that were also shown off at the E3.
Here’s the list of top three games that took the award for standing out from the rest.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt: Wild Hunt is the final episode in the epic of the award-winning Witcher RPG series from CD Projekt RED, and also an epic climax to the legend of Geralt of Rivia.
Interestingly, your eyes become the first judge of things before you can interpret it completely with your brain, and Wild Hunt was no different. The game’s impressive visuals and the massive scope it offers the fans in terms of gameplay and in-game exploration, was alone a massive boost toward easily predicting that this will be a game to look for in the coming days.
The Witcher 3 is said to have a free roaming, open world that players can explore both on and off a mission. The story will also have numerous non-linear quests to keep players hooked to Geralt’s epic and will be satisfied for over 100 hours.
It has also been stated that Microsoft's Smart Glass is currently being implemented into the Witcher 3 for optional inventory advantages, alongside the inclusion of voice commands for those who play it on the Xbox One.
Destiny: In a growing world where multiplayer gaming has captured the imagination of most of videogame fans, Destiny seems like the perfect inclusion. Destiny is the next biggest project from Bungie, the creators of Halo and the publisher of Call of Duty, and is fast arriving with a promising story set within a newly-imagined, always-connected universe.
Destiny is set to offer an unparalleled variety of FPS gameplay, and the first impressions we got from what was shown off at E3, Destiny is a fun title that easily integrates all aspects of gaming (single player, multiplayer and co-op) into one compact world that has now been hit by a catastrophic event.
All who survived, built a city beneath the Traveler, and began exploring humanity’s old worlds, only to discover that they are now filled with scum. This is where you come in with Destiny putting you in the shoes of a Guardian of the last safe city on Earth. And you job is to exercise incredible power and defend the City from anything that threatens.
Battlefield 4: Whether we like it or not, EA and DICE’s upcoming Battlefield 4 title has to be a part of any list currently being conceived by anyone around the planet, and the reason for that being as simple as it gets. It’s just amazing.
Keep in mind that Battlefield 4 is still in development at the moment and whatever we were shown since the Internet went berserk over “Fishing in Baku,” was just a part of a small part of the developed bit. However, as morning shows the day, if these are just the beta stages of the game that are being shown off, we can’t wait to check out what the actual deal will look like.
And right now, all the needles are pointing toward the mark where it’s written “Awesome.”
Apart from the gripping visuals, we are also waiting to check out the current addition of 64 players in a single online match that Battlefield 4 will indeed offer.
Yes, we actually left out titles like Mirror’s Edge, Ryse: Son of Rome and Metal Gear Solid 5: Phantom Pain. And, there's a reason for that. We felt that the abovementioned titles just edged past the others.
Let us see the list you have in mind in the comments section below.
