Two of the most anticipated tech devices this year has been the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 and the Microsoft Surface Phone 2016, both from Microsoft. However, the tech company disappointed many fans when neither one of them was released. New rumors suggest though that the two devices will be released together next year.
A report from Dr. Windows claims that they have received reputable evidence that device company HP is collaborating with Microsoft to manufacture an all new and powerful Windows 10 smartphone. The report has also confirmed that the Microsoft Surface Phone 2016 will effectively be the rebranded Lumia lineup. It will also take on the obsolete range's best features, such as the ClearBlack Screens, Glance, and a lot more. Other details about the Microsoft Surface Phone 2016 are still undisclosed though.
There are also leaked information that Microsoft has had an internal announcement that the smartphone will be released on February 2017. This will then coincide with the Mobile World Congress 2017, which is set to be held in the same month. This is also where the upcoming Microsoft Surface Pro 5 is rumored to be launched, so there is a high chance that the two devices may be released simultaneously.
Just recently, Microsoft has released refresh updates to the Surface Pro 4. The incremental upgrade somewhat puzzles many of its fans at the tech giant seems to be holding off the Microsoft Surface Pro 5. However, we just have to wait a couple more months for the next iteration to come out. While there are no official statements from Microsoft just yet, fans have been eagerly anticipating the two devices as rumors suggest that both the Microsoft Surface Phone 2016 and the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 would be packing extremely powerful specs and features.
The Microsoft Surface Phone 2016 is rumored to feature AMOLED display panels, Intel Kaby Lake chipsets, at least 6GB of RAM, 128GB of internal storage, Windows 10 Mobile, and the Continuum feature. The Microsoft Surface Pro 5, on the other hand, is set to boast the same Quad HD AMOLED screen, the same powerful processors and RAM, while having an improved Surface Pen and other peripheral support.
