Capcom's offering a sneak peek for two new DLC characters that will be available for Resident Evil: Revelations' Raid Mode, Lady Hunk, and the Ooze version of the short-lived FBC agent, Rachael Foley.
Lady Hunk functions as a DLC outfit for Hunk, so she's only playable once players have managed to unlock the super spy. Like Rachael, Lady Hunk is a beast with a magnum, blessed with the Magnum Master 4 ability, increasing both the reload speed and firing rate. When up close and personal, RE5 fans will recognize her melee attack as originally belonging to Jill Valentine. She has her own intro and ending voice clips, but re-uses Rachael's voice commands, albeit a bit muffled on account of that gas mask.
Ooze Rachael isn't as powerful as her campaign counterpart, but truly excels at melee combat. Her physical attack damage stats are raised 190%, as is her melee weapon damage at 160%, courtesy of her level 4 CC Mastery Ability. She also boasts better auto-regeneration than the human Rachael. Fans of the gruesome should note her melee attack, which uses her mutated mouth appendage.
Both characters will be available June 11th for all Revelations ports for $2.99, or 240 Microsoft Points.
After these two ladies arrive, there's only one bit of DLC left set to arrive for Revelations. On June 18th, players have the option of buying some new weapons for each character in the game's Raid mode. Weapons include the familiar Samurai Edge pistol for Jill, high-powered Government pistol for Keith, G18 pistol with additional ammo capacity for Jessica, and more.
Set in 2005, Resident Evil: Revelations told the story of B.S.A.A founders Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine on one of the organizations very first missions. Gameplay wise, it's quite similar to Resident Evil 4 and 5, but received praise for trying to bring back the "survival horror" aspect that later games seem to be missing.
While zombies are notably absent, replaced by "Ooze," Revelations does see the return of an even more horrific version of Hunters. The majority of the game takes place aboard the luxury cruise liner, the Queen Zenobia, which features interiors highly reminescent of the mansion from the first Resident Evil. Like the first title, gameplay is also similar, focusing more on item management and puzzle solving, than the run n' gun gameplay the series seems to have devolved into, but keeps the camera style popularized in recent games.
