TellTale Games is continuing its cryptic The Walking Dead Season Two marketing campaign by releasing another video on Vine. Titled Day 184, this video shows a mysterious character posting a picture of person named Russell on a missing person's board.
The Vine video comes following two other similar videos posted earlier this month. TellTale's marketing campaign seems to be teasing a zombie apocalypse that has led to masses of people going missing.
TellTale's earlier videos showed pictures of two other people getting posted to the missing board. Vine video Day 2 featured a picture of a man named Vince getting posted to the missing board. While the Vine titled Day 220 featured a picture of a women named Bonnie getting posted to the missing person's board.
Not much has been confirmed about The Walking Dead Season Two. The only concrete information TellTale has released so far is that the first episode of the next game series will be launched this fall.
TellTale has also reported that it may introduce "something extra" until then. What that 'extra' thing is isn't known but with E3 2013 just around the corner something should be announced soon.
The Walking Dead Game has become a hit with critics and gamers. TellTale Game's used the episodic series to create a post-apocalyptic universe full of player choice and freedom. The game's choices were often not black-and-white and the game's story relied heavily on the consequences of freewill.
TellTale's teases have proven to be a clever use of Twitter's Vine service. The social media platform lets users create short clips to post online. TellTale's usage of the platform is quickly becoming a bright spot for the tool that has yet to be fully adopted by companies.
Along with the Walking Dead franchise, TellTale is also working on a new episodic series based on the Fables comics. The Wolf Among Us will follow an anthropomorphic wolf who acts as sheriff to a town full of fairytale characters.
Named Bigby Wolf, the main character of the series will reportedly meet with fairytale characters like the Three Little Pigs and Mr. Toad. Telltale expects the first game in the series to be launched later this summer. The game will be made available for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.
