The results of the 30th annual "WWE Survivor Series" are in. The first year in which the brands were split again and made to fight each other started out shakily, but ended up being a success. The return of Goldberg was also something to behold, regardless of what fans felt about it.
First, let's talk about Goldberg's surprising win at "WWE Survivor Series." Because he's mostly feuding with the Beast Brock Lesnar, it doesn't actually change much with regard to the rest of the WWE roster. You can say that the perception of everyone Lesnar's ever defeated goes down with just how fast he lost to Goldberg, but that can easily be fixed. One other factor is that Goldberg will remain a part-timer, as his body has been away too long and isn't liking what wrestling does to it, according to an interview he did with NBC Sports.
Meanwhile, as for the other elimination matches in "WWE Survivor Series," the match with the most impact is obviously the five-on-five men's Survivor Series match. There was so much story to unpack there, and the biggest question lies with the statuses of Dean Ambrose and AJ Styles on "WWE SmackDown Live," the winning team, and Roman Reigns on "WWE RAW." Ambrose pretty much almost helped his team lose by taking his frustration out on Styles along with his former Shield stablemates Reigns and Seth Rollins, so he might turn into a villain. Reigns could also follow suit considering he was the scapegoat of "WWE RAW."
The other elimination matches weren't quite as impactful. The women's five-on-five match saw status quo remain the same as WWE RAW Women's Champion Charlotte advanced her own feud with new contender Bayley. WWE SmackDown Women's Champion Becky Lynch continued to have tension with her own respective contender Alexa Bliss, which contributed to their loss.
