Another season, another knee injury and another frustrating start for Chandler Parsons. The Memphis Grizzlies announced on Sunday that forward Chandler Parsons has a left knee bone bruise. Chandler Parsons will be re-evaluated and could miss up to 2 weeks because of the knee injury.
The good news is that the injured knee is not the one that has been surgically repaired twice in the last 2 years. Chandler Parsons,28, already underwent a "minor hybrid" microfracture surgery back in 2015 and had another surgery to repair a torn meniscus on the same right knee early this year that caused him to miss the rest of the 2015-2016 season.
Sources says that there is no structural damage on the bruised left knee of Chandler Parsons. The Memphis Grizzlies also announced that Chandler Parsons will not play on their upcoming game this Monday night when the Memphis Grizzlies visit the Charlotte Hornets.
The Memphis Grizzlies already has Chandler Parsons on a minutes restrictions basis. They wanted to limit his playing time to ease him back slowly from his knee surgery. Chandler Parsons only plays about 20 minutes per game this season. In the Memphis Grizzlies game against the Dallas Mavericks last Saturday at American Airlines Center in Dallas, Chandler Parson's played 23 minutes.
