A lot was expected from the MacBook Pro 2016 though Apple may have come short of fulfilling the wish list of specs. The new line comes with an Intel Skylake processor rather than the latest Kaby Lake, something believed to be tied up to supply problems tied with the shipment.
However, there is more to that processor shortcoming that many were worried about for the MacBook Pro 2016. This had to do with the 16 GB RAM in use, something Apple explains was to address energy-efficiency for the latest Apple laptop.
These two were singled out as potential problems for power users, something mentioned in a previous post. Based on the latest feedback from users, the problems are now surfacing for the MacBook Pro 2016.
A look over at the macrumors.com forums show MacBook Pro 2016 owners seeking some help on various problems. One notable issue was tied up to the displays of the device, changing colors and flickering problems.
One MacBook Pro 2016 owner encountered the problem when encoding a video and initial speculation tied it up to the PRAM or NVRAM. These are the non-volatile memory for the MacBook Pro that saves the settings of the features on the laptop.
Some have tried resetting the device but such has failed to address the problem. That said, the only recourse is to seek Apple from assistance or head on to the nearest Apple store. The bad news is that MacBook Pro 2016 replacement units are not in stock and force most to wait for at least another month.
Apple has yet to offer an explanation for this, something that could be addressed with an update at the least. The issue curiously affects only the 15-inch MacBook Pro 2016 variants thus far.
The limited 16 GB RAM is likely to be singled out by most as the culprit, limiting the productivity capabilities of the MacBook Pro 2016 which were already a concern in the first place. Will Apple open doors for RAM upgrades soon?
