There have been rumors that in “Gotham” Season 3, Captain Nathaniel Barnes will be some more peculiar situations. The straight forward, firmly on ground cop will soon go through a changing process, whether it is good or bad, read on to find out.
Captain Nathaniel Barnes (Michael Chiklis) who managed to survive last season of “Gotham” despite that he was constantly in conflict with his best cops James Gordon and Harvey Bullock, doesn’t get thing any easier in the new season, Blastr reports. He got some infected blood in his eye in the last episode and the question how it will manifest on him is still unanswered. Metamorphosis is happening, physically and mentally. Frustrated and dismayed by his mayor Penguin, he will attempt to take the law into his own hands. He is starting to realize that dark creatures and supernatural things are very real and is present all around him so he will have to deal with them.
According to AV Club, in the last episode of “Gotham” named "Mad City: Executioner" Captain Barnes stated “I am The Law”. So you can presume that he will try to take everything in his own hands and become the real sheriff of the town. He is seeking justice at all cost, while his associate James Gordon still works by the book. It will be very interesting for the audience to see how the new season will unfold, will Bruce, Selina and Ivy found unlocks.
There are specultations that Barnes will turn into Bane. Looking into the comics, Bane is of the intriguing characters in the comic series, according to Comic Vine. Born in Pena Dura prison in the Caribbean republic of Santa Prisca he was named by the warden. During his time in jail he learned that it is only by hard work that he can make a name in the underground and he managed to do just so. Physical and mental training made him one of the most feared characters and he managed to take over Gotham city underground at one point.
Being a part of super soldier project he got addicted to Venom, but later in the series he fought that addiction successfully. He even teamed up with Batman for some time. Educated, fluent in languages, cunning and disciplined he focuses on his goals without anything to cloud his mind and that makes him one of most dangerous characters around.
It would be interesting how “Gotham” will develop Bane in the TV Series.
