‘Mortal Kombat X’ DLC Release Date, News & Update: Third Pack Delayed Further Due To Ed Boon’s ‘Injustice 2?’ More Details Revealed

Fans of "Mortal Kombat X" have been eagerly anticipating for the release of its latest DLC. However, game developers have not issued an official announcement regarding the third pack. Now, fans are speculating that the reason for the delay is "Injustice 2."

"Injustice 2" is an upcoming video game by NetherRealm Studios and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. The fighting game that is a sequel to "Injustice: Gods Among Us" is expected to be released next year. This Ed Boon creation is said to be the reason for the delay of the release of "Mortal Kombat X" DLC.

Not only is "Injustice 2" being rumored to be the reason of the delay of "Mortal Kombat X" update, it is also reported that the fighting video game is helping "Injustice 2" by letting it use the MKX engine. It is said to help "Injustice 2's" characters to be more detailed and visually more appealing.

The "Mortal Kombat X" pack 3 has been rumored to also arrive on March 2017. The DLC is reported to include Baraka, Fukin, Noob Saibot, Rain and Sindel. A couple of months ago a report on the release of "Mortal Kombat XL" for PC have also excited the fans.

There has been no report on what NetherRealm Studios has to say regarding "Injustice " being the cause of the delay of "Mortal Kombat X" update but Ed Boon has took the fans for some light hearted jokes. The game director posted on his Twitter account that he is not looking for the release button on his keyboard. Ed Boon is the director of "Mortal Kombat X" and "Injustice 2."
