Manga fans are aware that Shueisha’s bestseller is “Hunter X Hunter” which sold copies of more than 65 million in February 2013. However, lately, the creator of the series, Yoshihiro Togashi has been experiencing some health problems. This has put on hold the series, which is why “Hunter X Hunter” has been in a hiatus for two years which is a big concern since the creation of the succeeding episodes are hanging by a thread.
The team behind the manga series may have to let Togashi go, according to reports by Fab Newz. There had been instances in the past where Togashi had experienced the same health problems and came back to work when he recovered. However, given the two year hiatus, it may be impractical to have to wait for his recovery, especially that business is affected.
Anime News Network reports that Shueisha, the publisher of “Hunter X Hunter” manga series, is eyeing on looking for outside assistance in order to continue the project. Right now, he is looking into bringing Sui Ishida, creator of Tokyo Ghoul, into the project. Ishida is an avid fan of “Hunter X Hunter” which would definitely be exciting to see on how he sees the series is going. Another very potential candidate is the wife of Togashi, Naoko Takeuchi. She is the creator of the best-selling manga “Sailor Moon” and assistant of her husband in his previous projects before.
Jobs and Hire reports that Yoshihiro Togashi would soon get back to working on “Hunter X Hunter” since he is now feeling better. Fans are definitely hoping for the best on how “Hunter X Hunter” would move on from their two year hiatus.
New releases of manga series “Hunter x Hunter” still has no confirmed dates, but should be available in 2017.
