News about the "The Last of Us 2" coming soon have been circulating online, but none of these has been confirmed by game developer Naughty Dog. Rumors suggested that, it will arrive in 2018 and the statement of voice actor Nolan North should have an impact to it, but it's been a year since he implied "brainstorming" for the game and until now, there haven't any form of confirmations.
About a year ago, North, who voiced Nathan Drake in "Uncharted 4" said, the Naughty Dog team is brainstorming for the now rumored "The Last of Us 2" game. His statement apparently fired up rumors that the game is now under development. As it wasn't, or if Naughty Dog is keeping everything under wraps, there have been no positive news about the game's arrival.
Lead character artist, Michael Knowland who previously worked for Naughty Dog also include "The Last of Us" game in his LinkedIn portfolio, but has been out of the company for quite sometime; another indication that "The Last of Us 2" might still be in the planning stage.
The success of "The Last of Us" in the past holds true when you look through how players clamored for the sequel. It's been 13 years since the original game was launched and it's high time, a sequel arrives. Unfortunately, Naughty Dog has not released any statement confirming, denying or teasing "The Last of Us 2" game.
In May 2016, Naughty Dog released the last installment in the Uncharted series entitled "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End." The game is said to be one of the reasons why the developer failed to develop "The Last of Us 2" in the past years.
