American supernatural horror film "Amityville: The Awakening" is coming on the international big screen. The seventeenth installment and sequel of the "Amityville" saga is scheduled to be released on January 6, 2017.
The "Amityville: The Awakening" movie trailer was released on August 22, 2014 and the movie was originally scheduled to be released on January 2, 2015. A few months before the showing date, it was re-scheduled for the month of April of the succeeding year. When Filmyard Holdings sold Miramax to BeIn Media Group (BMG) on March of 2016, Miramax was no longer the production company of the film and it was again set to be released on April of 2016, but due to the test screening purposes, it was rescheduled again to January 6, 2017.
The film received PG-13 Rating by the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA), for the language and strong horror violence. Franck Khalfoun, the movie director, has to change the title and cut a lot of secenes for the "Amityville: The Awakening" film since its initial delay in September 2014.
Fans are waiting for the "Amityville: The Awakening" for almost two years since the trailer was released. However, other fans are afraid that this film might would face another delay again.
