Call of Duty: Black Ops 2's Uprising map pack is out now for PC and PlayStation 3, and to celebrate, a Double XP Weekend starts on Friday.
This Double XP Weekend is another in a long line to celebrate other DLC launches. Activision and Treyarch had similar weekends when launching the Revolution DLC, as well as when Uprising first hit Xbox 360.
The Uprising Map Pack added 4 new multiplayer maps for Black Ops 2: Magma, Encore, Studio, and Vertigo. Vertigo is supposedly a remake of a map meant for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, but was never released.
There's also the new Mob of the Dead mode, a new twist on the game's zombie mode featuring the vocal talents of Ray Liotta, Chazz Palminteri, Joey Pantoliano and Michael Madsen, in America's most infamous prison, Alcatraz.
The DLC is free to anyone with a season pass. Non-holders will have to fork over $14.99.
The event is now officially underway, and goes until Monday afternoon, 1 PM EST. Get out there and start shooting.
