The "Last 4 Dead" fans are very much surprised as the final mission has been released last weekend. The original creators and developers made the unfinished campaign free to download to everyone who has a copy of the game on PC. The gameplay, features, and new maps bring chills for its avid fans.
Unfinished Campaign Launched!
VG 24/7 cited that the original creators and developers, Turtle Rock, made the "Last 4 Dead" final mission available to all fans that have game's copy on their PC. It has been awhile since we heard an update for the famous zombie-shooting game until last weekend. The final campaign, however, is said to be unfinished.
Turtle Rock's Chris Ashton said that the "Last 4 Dead" update is a "gray box" piece. This means that some game features are incomplete. Though there are few elements left unfinished, the genius developer said that the "Dam It," the final campaign, is playable from beginning to end.
Gameplay, Game Features & More Unfold!
The "Last 4 Dead" final cut is called "Dam It." This mission links together the "Dead Air" and "Blood Harvest." This includes two standalone survival mode maps that never shipped with the game and it is available as an add-on. Chris Ashton also posted a link where you can actually download the unfinished mission plus the instructions for installing the said update on the studio's forum.
There's also a detailed map that players can use as a strategy guide in exploring the "Last 4 Dead" final campaign. The design level and setting are on that map. Polygon noted that the unfinished mission starts at airstrip then proceeds to an apple garden, into a deep valley through a covered overpass and a campground before reaching the hydroelectric power dam.
Moreover, the "Last 4 Dead" unfinished campaign is set up differently. The design makes players do the work independently. This setting helps gamers to avoid more zombie attacks and reach their goal in the quickest possible time.
