Fantastic beasts and Where to Find Them is a fantasy story by J.K. Rowling writing as Newt Scamander. The plot is set in the 1920's New York. Newt's adventures in New York City are depicted in the story. The magic and the people he met are also in the film.
E! News reports that Johnny Depp is also joining the sequel for Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. The casts of the film had not known until late that Depp is actually part of the movie. Depp is confirmed to join and what has been kept a secret up until this time is his role in the film.
Colin Farrell is part of the movie where he portrays the role of Percival Graves. He happens to be the head security in the New York City Museum for "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them." The sequel also includes Newt to return.
