Following the well-received announcement of Rockstar regarding the Fall 2017 release of "Red Dead Redemption 2," analysts cannot help but note the game's future potential.
Expectations about the Western-themed game's possible Metascore rating and market sales are considerably high. There are even some who thinks that "Red Dead Redemption 2" could be a serious contender for Game of the Year Awards.
"Red Dead Redemption 2" likely to get higher than 92-93 Metascore
According to game analyst Michael Pachter, as per his exclusive interview with GamingBolt, "Red Dead Redemption 2" is likely to have a strong performance with regards to its review scores.
"I would not take a bet on Metascore below 92 or 93 because Rockstar is that good," indulged Pachter for how he sees the Metascore potential of "Red Dead Redemption 2."
He further offered, "So I think everything they touch turns out excellent. It's just hard to forecast commercial performance for newer properties. But this thing has an audience."
"Red Dead Redemption 2" can sell 12 million copies
To forecast the commercial success of "Red Dead Redemption 2," Macquarie Securities analyst Ben Schachter analyzed that the game is likely to sell over 12 million copies during Take-Two's second fiscal quarter. This analysis was from social media's warm receive of "Red Dead Redemption 2" upon Rockstar's announcement.

"Notably, in its first hour, the announcement received 54K likes and 61K retweets on Twitter, 152K likes and 52K comments on Facebook, and 65K likes on Instagram. We think that this demonstrates significant pent-up demand and interest for the sequel," divulged Schachter, as quoted from Windows Report.
The media outlet further noted, that considering the popularity of "Red Dead Redemption 2" and also its promised potentials, Rockstar already formulated the success of the game. As such, "Red Dead Redemption 2" could be a contender for Game of the Year Awards.
As previously reported by GameNGuide, "Red Dead Redemption 2" will be released on Xbox One and PS4 in fall of 2017. A PC version of the game, however, is yet to be announced but, if speculations are to believe, PC version of "Red Dead Redemption 2" will drop in 2018. Stay tuned!
