Saturday, May 4, was the celebration of the unofficial Star Wars Day, and to make the event even more memorable, Twitch.TV user PtoPOnline decided to stream what seems like the pre-alpha version of Free Radical Design's canceled title Star Wars: Battlefront 3.
Battlefront 3 was an upcoming Star Wars game title that was scrapped while in development by LucasArts in 2008. Apparently, the alpha version of Battlefront 3 came into existence eight months before LucasArts’ decided to shut down the project.
Lucas Arts stopped all games development at the start of April, and took down both this game and other similar projects that were planned. “The publisher,” as Kotaku states, “was known to be working on a Battlefront-like game called First Assault last year. It was scheduled to come out in the spring and was a test of sorts for an all-new, all-different Battlefront III.”
