"World of Warcraft" might be pretty old, but its developers just appear to never run out of enthusiastic ideas to keep players begging for more. Earlier, they had promised that they will be delivering a steady stream of content for the "World of Warcraft: Legion" expansion.
With recent developments, it looks like they are living up with such promise. Aside from the upcoming release of "World of Warcraft: Legion" Patch 7.1.5, it was announced at BlizzCon 2016 that patch 7.2 will feature the Tomb of Sargeras and, that for Patch 7.3, players were to be sent to another place called Argus.
'World of Warcraft: Legion' Patch 7.3 Details Revealed
Game director Ion Hazzikostas spoke to IGN and revealed that the reason as to why the team is already revealing details about Patch 7.3 is to put Patch 7.2 in a more ideal context. He adds that it would be hard to say much without spoiling the story of "World of Warcraft: Legion" Patch 7.2 which they will be very careful not to do.
They want their players to know that there is a whole lot more story content waiting for them. Because otherwise, "World of Warcraft: Legion" Patch 7.2 might sound like a finale.
As to why they chose Argus for the upcoming patch, he reveals that it is because they want "World of Warcraft: Legion" to get deeper in to the expansion's lore. Patch 7.4 will be exhaustive in revealing the origin of the Legion's power in all angles possible, which would make it very interesting.
'World of Warcraft: Legion' Updates: Expansions, Spin-offs Likely
Hazzikostas also tore down speculations that Argus might give rise to spin-offs or its own expansion by saying that such would be overreaching in that regard. He also guarantees that such will form a very intricate part of Legion and that would make the flow of events seem very natural in the story when players get to explore "World of Warcraft: Legion".
Polygon reports that in the "World of Warcraft" lore, Argus is another planet in the vast Warcraft universe that is actually one of the major seats of power for the Burning Legion. The planet was once home to the playable Dranei race, which was a faction that completely evacuated the planet when the demons took over and corrupted everything in it.
