Many believe that the Samsung Galaxy Note brand is in jeopardy and that the Korean tech giant may soon discontinue the Note line after the Galaxy Note 7 disaster. However, if some reports are to be believed, The company is far from doing so and is actually in the process of developing a Samsung Galaxy Note 8 smartphone to woo back its frustrated Note 7 customers.
In fact, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 could be released early 2017, as Samsung believes now is the time to re-connect with fans with a "super-capable" handset. The company is already running the Galaxy Note 7 Exchange Program wherein Note 7 customers are being offered an upgrade to Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge, writes Value Walk.
Once the Samsung Galaxy S8 and Samsung Note 8 are released, the Note 7 sufferers will be offered great discounts on these handsets. Even though the Korean tech giant has not confirmed any of the specs and features of the device, rumors and theories are already running riot on the Internet.
Even tech enthusiasts also believe now is the time for Samsung to control its ebbing customer base with a heavy-duty, high-performance device. While some are overly optimistic and believe that the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 will be released in January at the Consumer Electronics Show 2017, such a date seems implausible.
A more logical date would be the Mobile World Congress 2017 in Feb-March, writes MNR Daily. Moreover, Samsung usually releases its S series devices first. At this rumor stage, it is extremely difficult to ascertain what specs and features the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 handset will have and most of the speculations are based on the Samsung Galaxy S8 speculations.
However, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 specs may include a 6GB RAM, Exynos 8895 processor and a 4K resolution. Camera upgrades and artificial intelligence capabilities are also expected in the Galaxy Note 8. Samsung must doubly careful about the battery this time. Experts suggest the company should shift back to removable battery option. Other Samsung Galaxy Note 8 specs may include a rear dual-camera setup with 16MP and 8MP sensors, upgraded S Pen and a fingerprint scanner.
