"Grand Theft Auto 6" or "GTA 6" is a highly-anticipated open world action-adventure video game. It is expected to be released right after "Red Dead Redemption 2" releases in 2017. Both the titles are being developed by the same company and as opposed to popular belief, one game's development shouldn't have an impact on the other.
Even though "GTA 6" and "Red Dead Redemption 2" are being developed by the same company Rockstar Games, two large and separate divisions are taking care of the games separately. That's why "Grand Theft Auto 6" fans shouldn't be worried about the game's release being affected by "Red Dead Redemption 2."
As per iDigital Times, "Red Dead Redemption 2" is the brainchild of Rockstar San Diego and "Grand Theft Auto 6" is reportedly being created by Rockstar North and is still in the early stages of creation. Thus, the two games are being taken by two entirely different branches. Therefore, one nig project should not necessarily hamper the other's development.
It is true that Rockstar North and Rockstar San Diego joined hands on "Grand Theft Auto 5" and "Red Dead Redemption" but the two bodies primarily work on their own content. Thus, "Grand Theft Auto 6" must be launched around the same time it was supposed to be launched.
The only possible explanation why the "Grand Theft Auto 6" will be launched later has nothing to do with "Red Dead Redemption 2." It is a matter of what Rockstar Games wants to accomplish financially. It may first want to make as much money as possible off "Red Dead Redemption 2." "GTA 6" may be released during a slack financial period just to keep the profits moving, especially after "GTA 5" became a major success.
Rockstar Games has enough manpower to develop both the games together. As per speculations, "Grand Theft Auto 6" could be featuring various improvements and even include new maps and characters. A London Map is highly anticipated as it is one of the most preferred locations for players.
