During Apple's October event, tech fans expected the company to unveil the new iPad Mini 5; however, the company has a different plan and revealed the new MacBook Pro. According to a report by MacWorld, the new iPad Mini 5 will most definitely be launched during the company's March 2017 affair alongside other hardware products like the iPad Pro 2. If rumors prove to be true, a March 2017 launching would be unusual for Apple's popular iPad Mini line since it normally unveils a new model in October.

Although Apple has yet to provide the official details of the development and release of iPad Mini 5, several reports have allegedly revealed its specs and features. According to reports, the new tablet will come with a 7000-series aluminum chassis, which is the same design Apple used on iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus. There are also speculations suggesting that iPad Mini 5 might have a thinner and lighter design compared to its predecessor. Although these reports are pretty interesting, Apple has yet to confirm the specs and features of the upcoming iPad Mini 5.
Meanwhile, in a report by PC Advisor U.K, there are rumors suggesting that the new iPad Mini 5 might come with Apple's 3D Touch system, NFC and IP68 protection. Many fans are interested to know if Apple will decide to upgrade the camera feature of its predecessor; however, no report has revealed it yet.
