Since its debut in October, "Battlefield 1" has been enjoying rave reviews and critical acclaim. Its 9/10 aggregate score is a strong testament to the game's intense gameplay, immense personality and captivating human element amid the chaos of World War I.
And it seems the first-person shooter game from DICE and Electronic Arts still looks to improve more. Battlefield recently published a list of updates and new features that players can expect soon as it continues to improve and polish the game. What to expect for 'Battlefield 1' in the future
First off, players can expect a major slew of updates and upgrades for "Battlefield 1" this coming November. They will be adding, among many things, a Rent-A-Server program, a new Custom game and matchmaking tweaks. They should also mark their calendars for Nov. 16, as the game will be bringing its weeklong celebration of the franchise,"Battlefest."
During the "Battlefest," "Battlefield 1" will be introducing "Fog of War," its first official custom game. It operates as a unique Team Deathmatch experience where players fighting in fog have limited sight.
Changes in 'Battlefield 1' maps
"Battlefield 1" players can also expect in the future is some major tweaks to the Suez map in Conquest. This is to accommodate balanced matches and five flags. Battlefield will also be reducing the capture area size and adding one more armored vehicle to each team's base.
Players can also expect an early holiday gift from the franchise. Another promising new map called "Giant's Shadow" will also be making its way into "Battlefield 1" in December.
