The Originals season 4 air date is scheduled in 2017. Fans are worrying that the Vampire Diaries crossover will not happen. However, there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Klaus Mikaelson (Joseph Morgan) need help getting out of his prison. Caroline Forbes (Candice King) is his best bet to get out of the hell-hole.
Fans of The Originals have been eagerly awaiting Klaus and Caroline's reunion. In the Vampire Diaries season 8, Caroline is set to marry Stefan (Paul Wesley). Fans were contented to know that Klaus has his own affair with Camille (Leah Pipes). However, in season 3, Camille died. Fans remained hopeful that she'll return but recent reports state that it is unlikely that Camille will return.
There are speculations that Klaus will have a new love interest in the persona of Caroline. Prior to The Originals, Klaus and Caroline had a history in the Vampire Diaries. However, after Klaus left, Caroline and Stefan became close. Stefan proposed marriage to Caroline which the latter accepted. The wedding has not taken place yet and it is possible that the 'Klaroline' love team has a chance to recover.
Despite the possibility of a love triangle with Stefan, Caroline and Klaus, it would be hard to pull it off. Caroline can still play a vital role for The Originals season 4 and save Klaus. Klaus' daughter, Hope (Summer Fontana) could be his savior and might even give way for a Vampire Diaries - The Originals crossover.
The Originals and the Vampire Diaries executive producer, Julie Plec, confirmed that there is a 100 percent chance of a crossover between the two series. Fans are excited to see how the writers of the two series will be able to pull it off.
The Originals season 4 will be released in 2017 on the CW network. Meanwhile, fans can keep up with the characters of The Vampire Diaries season 8 on CW every Friday at 8 pm ET.
