By now, Michael Scofield's (Wentworth Miller) resurrection in "Prison Break" Season 5 doesn't come as a surprise to fans as it was already confirmed in teasers that the character will be back. It's been eight years since fast last saw Michael and the rest of the cast of "Prison Break" season 4, so what can viewers expect from the revival series knowing that the character whom everyone thought was dead is actually alive and is imprisoned somewhere in the Middle East?
The cast and writer of "Prison Break" Season 5 have been generous enough to provide more teasers and hints about the revival series. In a recent exclusive interview with Digital Spy, Wentworth Miller somehow dropped a big teaser that should get every fan excited. "The reboot is nine new episodes airing in spring 2017, and then depending on how it's received, and who's available, there could be another conversation about another bite of the apple," he told the publication.
Based on the teasers already released, it was revealed that Michael is now somewhere in a Middle Eastern prison. His brother, Lincoln (Dominic Purcell) received intel that he is actually alive. The roles have reversed as it would be Lincoln's turn to get his brother out of prison in "Prison Break" Season 5. Sara (Sarah Wayne Callies), Michael's love interest is also baffled at how the father of her child ends up alive after all those years. It remains to be seen if the two will get back together, considering she already moved on with a new husband.
What's reserved for "Prison Break" Season 5 is how Michael is alive. Fans will just have to wait for the premiere to know what happened to Michael in between. As previously reported by GamenGuide, the return of the series will surely provide a "logical explanation" to Michael's survival. Besides the return of the major character, Wentworth Miller also teased other things viewers can expect from the revival.
"I can tell you it's seven years later, and you can expect a lot more of the same things that you loved first time around. "And it will also be quite different as the characters have changed, so my character in particular is no longer just a hero - he's a few other things as well." It's definitely an interesting return for Scofield. "Prison Break" Season 5 is slated for a spring 2017 release.
