With the seemingly ever-growing "Star Wars" franchise hitting the market on all departments, there is certainly room for one more video game. This is where "Star Wars Battlefront 2" comes in, a sequel to the hit action shooter video game.
Game publisher Electronic Arts had recently revealed that the "Star Wars Battlefront 2" is indeed arriving. EA CFO Blake Jorgensen detailed that the next installment will be available at the tail end of 2017. This would be a logical move, as the original iteration had just been released in November of last year.
The actual and final title of "Star Wars Battlefront 2" has not been determined as of yet. However, Jorgensen has assured its fans that the video game will indeed come out in the late 2017. He also goes on to say that the next "Star Wars Battlefront" is coming a year from now. Jorgensen also stated that EA is working really hard to make sure that the game is an extremely deep and engaging video game.
Despite all the assurance though, there is still no exact release date. The announcement of "Star Wars Battlefront 2" was also not much of a surprise, as the first iteration had also been released on November, just last year. This month seems to come as a magic window that companies take advantage of upon releasing games. This November, we will be seeing "Battlefield 1," "Titanfall 2," "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare," "Dishonored 2," and the "Pokemon Sun and Moon." These would all be crammed in a three-week release window.
If "Star Wars Battlefront 2" would indeed be released on 2017, it will definitely benefit from its movie counterpart. The eighth installment to the core "Star Wars" franchise is geared to be released on December 2017. With this, then the video game could absolutely ride on the hype that would be generated by the live action film.
With this, fans can only hope that the Force is in their favor, as "Star Wars Battlefront 2" and "Star Wars VIII" are set to make huge waves next year. Stay tuned to GamenGuide for more "Star Wars Battlefront 2" news and updates!
