Whispers and speculations about "Iron Man 4" have been making its rounds on the Internet. Rumors have it that Robert Downey Jr. will officially step down as a superhero and the Marvel Studios President seemingly confirmed it.

Multiple reports claimed that Robert Downey Jr. may already be done portraying Tony Stark / Iron Man, and now it is realized that he may be too old to play his iconic role. Although many agrees that Robert Downey Jr. is born to be Iron Man, his time as the genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist Tony Stark may reach its expiration date.
GamenGuide has previously reported that Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige opened up about casting new actors to portray some of the iconic characters. This means that Robert Downey Jr. may be hanging up his red metal suit for good soon.
"I think most of these characters that are iconic, like (James) Bond, like Batman, like Spider-Man, like Iron Man, someday will be portrayed by different actors," Kevin Feige revealed.

Although the changes will definitely happen, the Marvel Studios President noted that the recasting will not happen anytime soon. "The good news right now is I don't have to think about that for a long time," he said.
As for now, it is safe to say that we will still be seeing Robert Downey Jr. in his famous red suit when “Avengers: Infinity War Part 1” debuts in 2018 and “Avengers: Infinity War Part 2" releases in 2019. Robert Downey Jr. a.k.a Tony Stark a.k.a Iron Man will also be a part of "Spider-Man: Homecoming," pushing his solo film "Iron Man 4" to the side for now.
