‘Titanfall 2’ Latest News & Update: Sandwich Schedule Between ‘Battlefield 1’ & ‘Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare’ Threatens Sales

"Titanfall 2" is in volatile situation and possibility of financial loss - if video games quality is measured by sales. However, this fantastic first person shooter from developer Respawn can be described as a masterpiece victimized by bad circumstances.

There are fears that "Titanfall 2" will suffer financial shortfall and good reviews might not translate into big bucks for Respawn. The reason behind this potential setback is the title's release date that is closely knitted with other excellent shooters. "Titanfall 2" was released on Oct 28, just a week after "Battlefield 1" which is another blockbuster from Electronic Arts. Then comes "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" that will unleash in few days.

According to Game Spot, Electronic Arts boss Andrew Wilson chose not to mix up "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" because it's still in the horizon so focus was given to "Titanfall 2" and "Battlefield 1." EA believes that there are gamers who will not let go of the chance to play both shooters. Further, these two have different approach and gameplay that will entice their own fans respectively.

"Battlefield 1" was themed on World War 1 era and requires strategic prowess to beat it. "Titanfall 2" is a contrast because it follows futuristic theme and fast gameplay. What sets the two apart is the slower, sometimes static "Battlefield 1" while "Titanfall 2" is more upbeat and kinetic.

So given these cases, preference will ultimately grasp behind the quality of these titles. Remember that "Titanfall 2" is receiving stellar ratings since players were allowed to peek into the gameplay, Trusted Reviews reported. Yes, "Battlefield 1" is still on the rise but there is a fraction of criticisms about gameplay and storyline. Make no mistake about it, there is no 100 percent title so the latter is still within acceptable range.

Meanwhile, free DLC and modes for "Titanfall 2" in the future is the biggest draw for this title. Who wouldn't love to invest in a game with future contents totally for free?
