"The Rise of the Tomb Raider" will have a follow-up game but until the beginning of November this year, the title of the next Lara Croft video game was unknown to the public. The reveal of the title was actually accidental since the production of the game is still ongoing.
On Reddit, someone who goes by the name Tripleh280 narrated that he somehow got a bit of information about "The Rise of the Tomb Raider" sequel. He said he saw an open laptop while on the subway in Montreal and game title was on the screen.
The Redditor detailed his experience by saying that a guy had his laptop open when he caught a glimpse of what he was doing. On the screen, Tripleh280 saw that he was working on a powerpoint presentation and it was titled the "Shadow of the Tomb Raider." Right there and then, he immediately thought of "The Rise of the Tomb Raider."
Tripleh280 was also able to take a photo of the laptop with the supposed title of "The Rise of the Tomb Raider" sequel. The photo shows that he has a proof of what he was claiming but then, could he be right in assuming that it is for the next Lara Croft game? Kotaku believe so.
This is because, the publication already heard about this title some time ago. Its staffs stated that they have been hearing about "Shadow of the Tomb Raider" so they are familiar with it. Additionally, they claimed that a source confirmed that indeed, it will be the title of the next version of "The Rise of the Tomb Raider."
Then again, Square Enix still have to release statement regarding this rumor. Until the game developer says something, the title of "The Rise of the Tomb Raider" sequel will never be official.
