Japanese blog Mac Otakara recently reported that Apple will be launching three variants for its iPad Pro line around spring 2017. Fans are eagerly waiting for an upgrade as the iPad Pro has not received any major upgrade for quite some time. Moreover, the Cupertino-based tech giant was expected to unveil the iPad Pro 2 during the Oct. 27 event but nothing was mentioned.
Naturally, the focus has shifted to spring 2017 with fans expecting a 7.9-inch, a 10.1-inch and a 12.9-inch version to be released. Unconfirmed reports have stated that the 12.9-inch variant of the iPad Pro 2 may have the same rear-facing 12MP iSight camera with True Tone flash just like the 9.7-inch one, as per Mac Otakara.
Moreover, the 12.9-inch iPad Pro 2 variant may also feature a True Tone display like the 9.7-inch one along with advanced four-channel ambient light sensors that can automatically so that the intensity and color of display will automatically adapt to the light in the surrounding environment. Apple is set to standardize the features in its tablet lineup. Hence, the iPad Mini 4 successors will also receive the four speakers, True Tone display, the Smart Connector and the 12MP primary iSight camera with True Tone flash.
It is still uncertain whether the iPad Pro 2 will keep the standard 3.5mm headphone jack or remove it like the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. The three new iPads in 2017 may be launched with iOS 11and the powerful A10X chipsets. A 4GB RAM capacity is also expected.
However, many tech enthusiasts are of the opinion that Apple may drop its iPad Mini lineup and focus more on the more premium and larger tablet brands. Moreover, the iPhones have also been held responsible for the declining popularity of the Apple tabs.
