News about "Kingdom Hearts 3" has been thin to the ground, thanks to Square Enix's commitment to stay quiet about the sequel until "Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8" Final Chapter Prologue launches next year. That's a pretty long time to stay mum and expect to maintain hype for the game, however. Luckily for fans, Square Enix threw a bone in the form of two screenshots from Kingdom Hearts III--and it looks like Sora will be getting some new abilities and weapons.
What the photos reveal about the upcoming sequel
In a series of tweets, Square Enix and Kingdom Hearts teased gamers with a few glimpses into the highly anticipated "Kingdom Hearts 3" sequel. One of the photos showcase Sora's latest Drive forms, which amplify the characters' abilities. Called the Guard form, the new wardrobe transforms the keyblade into a shield, according to IGN.
Meanwhile, the second photo seems to have edited out a Hidden Keyblade from the shot. The "Kingdom Hearts 3" game company explained that this Keyblade--which Sora handles like a hammer -- comes from a world that hasn't been released yet.
