No musical comedy film series in recent memory has been as impactful to pop culture as the first two installments of the "Pitch Perfect" franchise. With "Pitch Perfect 3" coming next year, Anna Kendrick and Rebel Wilson will be gracing the screens again with their own acapella take on popular songs.
It can be recalled that according to The Wrap, executive producer and "Pitch Perfect 2" director Elizabeth Banks left the "Pitch Perfect 3" director's chair after it interfered with her duties as a parent. Variety then reported that the release date for "Pitch Perfect 3" will be moved a few months to find a replacement for Banks. "Step Up All In" filmmaker Trish Sie was eventually announced as the new "Pitch Perfect 3" director.
However, it looks like an alleged feud between Rebel Wilson and Anna Kendrick will be delaying production again. According to reports, the two are said to be at odds with each other on the production start of "Pitch Perfect 3." Kendrick will be busy in January as she will be promoting her movie "Table 19" so she is trying to lobby to move the production schedule by a week. But Wilson is intent on pushing forward with the original schedule as she also has other projects.
You can watch "Pitch Perfect 3" when it hits theaters in both the United States and Canada on Friday, December 22, 2017. Should there be any more updates and news on "Pitch Perfect 3," GameNGuide will be posting more about it in the next few months.
