“Fallout 4” is another game from Bethesda expected to get some mod support soon even if the ones offered by Sony pale in comparison to the PC and Xbox. The ones tied up to “Skyrim Special Edition” are already available, though there are only 11 mods to choose from.
For reference, there are 69 game mods of “Skyrim Special Edition” for the Xbox One. Hence, one can see a big difference, which has some "Fallout 4" players frowning.
Also, players will be limited to just 1 GB of space for the "Fallout 4" mods, meaning players may have to choose wisely on which mods to apply. Xbox One players get a larger 5 GB of space.
As mentioned in a previous post, the reason behind the limited "Fallout 4" mods was the best Bethesda and Sony could come up with for now. Only the assets for the game can be of good use though hope floats that the mod support will flourish moving forward.
As far as “Fallout 4” is concerned, there is no official word on when mods will come to fruition. In another post, it was reported that patches will still be released prior to the actual DLC. The action role-playing game has been plagued with technical issues so fixing this first could be one of the reasons why no mod has been shown for “Fallout 4”.
Regardless, it is believed that the fate of “Fallout 4” will be no different from what gamers have seen on “Skyrim Special Edition”. This means that there will be limited capacity and likely few mods available depending on the defined assets for the game.
Bethesda is reportedly accepting mod submissions as we speak for both the PS4 and Xbox One, something that can hopefully ramp up the mods for both “Fallout 4” and “Skyrim Special Edition” in the near future, Neurogadget reported.
