The first "Doctor Strange" post-credits scene features Benedict Cumberbatch offering a guest some tea, but it is later revealed that Chris Hemsworth's Thor is interested in something stronger. The two discuss Thor's adoptive brother Loki, with Stephen Strange wondering how they can make sure Tom Hiddleston's character can be brought back to Asgard.
Thor reveals that it is their father Odin who can get Loki to return to Asgard. Doctor Strange is delighted with the information then agrees to help Thor find the All-Father in "Thor: Ragnarok". Does this mean Benedict Cumberbatch will be one of the major MCU characters who will be a part of Taika Waititi's movie?
Benedict Cumberbatch Set To Appear In 'Thor: Ragnarok' Before 'Avengers: Infinity War'?
It has previously been confirmed that Benedict Cumberbatch and "Doctor Strange" costar Benedict Wong will both be a part of "Avengers: Infinity War" (via ComicBook). Although it is highly unlikely that Wong will be in "Thor: Ragnarok", Cumberbatch's possible appearance in "Thor 3" would be a welcome way to bridge the magical aspect of MCU to the rest of the films.
"Doctor Strange" is directed by Scott Derrickson and also stars Chiwetel Ejiofor, Benjamin Bratt, Rachel McAdams, Mads Mikkelsen and Tilda Swinton. The film is set to premiere on November 4.
