Apple has kept iOS jailbreaks at bay with its constant updates though this may be something they are not aware off. Since its release, iOS 10 has been plagued by issues, forcing the Cupertino company to come out with consecutive updates giving groups like Pangu headaches.
With Apple cutting the signed iOS versions as well, iOS jailbreakers will now have limited operating systems to work with. The baselines operating system is iOS 10.0.2.
As mentioned in a previous post, the chase continues between hackers though there is a possibility that an iOS jailbreak may never happen. Bracing for the worst (as far as Apple jailbreaking fans are concerned), what alternatives could cracked iOS users turn to?
As most know, downgrading will come with risks. Recall that iOS 9.3.5 was the last known jailbreak so downgrading devices starting from the iPhone 6S and above can be aided with a software called ‘Tinyumbrella’.
Tinyumbrella can help in downgrading Apple device owners who are pretty unhappy with iOS 10 to iOS 9.3. The process is called a rollback which as most know is discouraged by the Cupertino company. For the people who don’t mind, this is something that could help for Apple owners to use existing iOS jailbreaks, mostly on version iOS 9, Neurogadget reported.
If that fails to convince Apple owners, another software called Mojo. It is technically not a jailbreak but more on something that will riddle your device with apps available on Cydia – the same app that gives users programs not available on iTunes.
Compared to Tinyumbrella, Mojo carries less risk since it doesn’t force you to downgrade to a previous version. There is the possibility of bloatware though jailbreaking alternatives carry the same problems that and actual crack carries.
As for an official iOS jailbreak? There is no definite word if Pangu or other hackers will come up with on. With a buggy iOS 10, the next version (iOS 10.1) could offer better chances unless Apple makes it a habit to release frequent updates.
