Swedish pop artist ABBA are to rejoin for another digital experience one year from now, it has been declared.
The popular quartet - Agnetha Faltskog, Bjorn Ulvaeus, Benny Andersson, and Anni-Frid Lyngstad - have not performed in a show together since the band split up in 1982. The ABBA reunion has reported they will work as a group with producer Simon Fuller on what has been portrayed as a "pioneering venture that will make use of the most recent virtual reality innovation".
The full subtle details of the experience won't be revealed until 2017, however, the venture's benefactors say it will empower fans to see, hear and feel the ABBA band in a way already unheard of. Fuller said virtual reality and artificial intelligence will be at the front line of the venture.
The Swedish foursome ABBA tops the chart around the world. Musician Andersson said: "We're motivated by the boundless potential of what the future hold and are cherishing being a part of making something new and dramatic here."
