“Lost Planet 3” is getting a two month delay.
“Lost Planet 3,” which was expected to arrive on June 25, is now set for an Aug. 27 official release for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. Capcom put the news of the delay for “Lost Planet 3” at the end of a very long press release that detailed Capcom's lineup for the upcoming months.
“For the more adventurous traveller why not embark on the trip of a lifetime to E.D.N. III. Admire the vast scale of the planet and brave the extreme and unpredictable conditions as Lost Planet 3 arrives on August 27 in North America and August 30 in Europe,” the company writes.
Capcom is mum on the reasons behind the delay, but one theory is the company decided to push the title back to give its upcoming game “Remember Me” more attention.
To catch up, “Remember Me” tells the story of an amnesiac 'memory hunter' called Nilin, through the streets of Neo-Paris in the year 2084. “Remember Me” is set for a June 4 release on the PS3 and Xbox 360 and PC.
“Lost Planet 3” introduces Jim Peyton a rig pilot who leaves Earth to take on a dangerous but profitable contract on E.D.N. III.
“Working for Neo-Venus Construction (NEVEC) who are preparing the planet for colonisation, Jim joins his fellow pioneers at the Coronis base and begins surveying the uncharted terrain and obtaining samples of the planet’s energy supply – Thermal Energy,” the official page states.
