The Chicago Bulls are blessed with lots of firepower for the 2016-17 NBA season. However, many are wondering how stars like Jimmy Butler, Dwyane Wade, and Rajon Rondo would be able to share the ball and exist.
All three NBA players have been known to want the ball in their hands to do their stuff, meaning coach Fred Hoiberg will have to set things straight. It all boils down to the plays he sketches for the Chicago Bulls, but all that may be a temporary reprieve.
Some reports bat that a possible move could be to trade off someone with all fingers pointing to Jimmy Butler once again. Hearing the swingman’s name in trade deals is nothing new though something could go down if the price and players in the mix are right.
The latest fantasy dish suggests Butler is headed to the Sacramento Kings in exchange for DeMarcus Cousins. The deal will not solely be a one-for-one with other names included in the fold. In another rumor suggestion, the deal would also involve Robin Lopez of the Chicago Bulls. If consummated Butler and Lopez end up in Sacramento which could ramp up the issues that Dave Joerger has to deal with on both ends of the court.
Aside from Cousins, the Chicago Bulls could also try to get Ricky Rubio which makes some sense. The Chicago Bulls do have Rondo meaning adding Rubio would relegate him to the backup point guard.
That is unless Chicago Bulls coach Hoiberg opts to go small and move Rondo to the two-guard while Wade moves up to small forward. The combo could technically work with Cousins manning the middle.
The idea seems crazy but could be possible if the Chicago Bulls are indeed looking to snag a tested and tough big man like Cousins. Rubio is more of a sweetener and an option. With the T-Wolves seemingly bent on moving up with rookie Kris Dunn, the Spaniard could be dealt soon. But will it be in Chicago?
