‘Mortal Kombat X’ Release Date, News & Update: NetherWorld to Unleash Kombat Pack 3 in June 2017?

"Mortal Kombat X" has been around since 2015 but still got strong foothold, thanks to nostalgic value this game provides to fans from decade ago when old platforms were all Kombatants. What is interesting though is the gaming community expecting a third expansion pack from developer NetherRealm.

Very uneasy is the accurate description of how gamers feel about "Mortal Kombat X" expansion pack 3, JBH News reported. But is it really feasible that NetherRealm will release new gameplay and roster any time soon? The answer resides in current activity of NetherRealm which is focused on making a sequel to another title "Injustice." Meaning, there is a high possibility that Kombat Pack 3 was temporarily ditched to favor "Injustice 2."

It is common practice for developers to retard game release at least a quarter of a year before unleashing another from their ward. This is business strategy to avoid titles from competing especially emanating from same developer. Given the above premise, it is likely that "Mortal Kombat X" expansion will be released in June of 2017. This is logical if "Injustice 2" will release late this year or early next year.

We reported earlier here at GameNGuide that "Mortal Kombat X" co-creator Ed Boon teased in his Twitter post that there will be four additional Kombatants in expansion pack 3. Since then, gamers voted for Kombat Pack 3 on top of other sequels like "Injustice 2" and "Shaolin Monks 2." Based on the same mini-survey, it appears that characters Baraka, Fujian, Noob Saibot, Rain and Sindel are favorite additions to "Mortal Kombat X."

Meanwhile, psycho netherworldly character Jason Voorhees is available at "Mortal Kombat X" mobile. He is included together with dark version of Kitana in special Halloween event for limited period. Be warned though, "Day of the Dead" Kitana is a tough challenge that requires requisites that we don't want to spoil. These characters aren't easy to obtain neither so lots of luck is needed.
