We reported earlier that NeatherRealm's upcoming "Injustice: Gods Among Us" would be coming to various iOS devices. However, don't expect the same high paced gameplay as seen as consoles.
The iOS version features an intuitive, though bit rocky style of control. Quick screen taps result in light attack, swipe for power strikes. IGN got a hands on with the version, so you can see how it works in the trailer below.
The game will release with only three characters at first. More can be unlocked by earning tokens, and all characters from the console versions will appear in the iOS port. Of course, as seems to be the case with free-to-play, you can buy token packs if you'd rather have all the characters available from the get go.
At first glance, it does seem like a pretty halfhearted attempt to grab more money EA style. Typically, fighters haven't had the best run on iOS devices. The only real thing that seems like "Injustice" could draw in players is that fact that it can unlock skins for its console brethren, such as "Batman Beyond" or New 52 skins.
We'll keep our eyes on this one and let you know the deal when it comes out.
