The HTC One is now being sold by AT&T.
HTC confirms pre-orders for their highly acclaimed HTC One are set to start on April 4. Also, the official launch date for the device is April 19.
AT&T is selling the HTC One for $199.99 with a two-year contract, for the 32 GB memory model. The carrier company is also offering the 64 GB memory version for $299.99 with a similar two-year contract, and is the only U.S. wireless carrier doing so at launch.
Moreover, AT&T is also offering a HTC Media Link HD wireless HDMI adaptor alongside the HTC One deal.
There have been a lot of delays for the HTC One, but the company has made its way to at least one U.S. carrier before the Galaxy S4, its biggest threat in the market. Moreover, the pre-orders for the Samsung Galaxy S4 are set to start on April 16, which is just three days before the HTC One goes on sale.
As of now, there’s no release date for the Galaxy S4, but if the length of AT&T’s regular pre-order cycles are taken into account, the phone could actually arrive in early May.
The HTC One sports a rich 4.7-inch 1080p display, a 1.7-GHz quad-core processor, and runs Android 4.1.2 with the latest “Sense 5″ technology of Android. The device also has an impressive aluminum body that makes it feel tougher, unlike the cheap plastic found on many other smartphones in the market, including Samsung.
