Apple has always been known for adding very minimal features and updates as it releases new models almost year by year. This time, however, rumors have been circulating that the iPhone 8 will be like no iPhone that anyone has ever seen before as it will feature a brand new design that no one had anticipated.
Yahoo! Tech reports that Apple is expected to release a completely redesigned iPhone 8 in the upcoming year to commemorate the phone's 10th anniversary. After seeing almost the same design every year, the tech giant es expected to make stunning changes in how the next iPhone looks and works as well as to the device's technological makeup.
Previously, reports have said that the upcoming iPhone 8 will feature and OLED display that will cover the entire face of the phone and that the home button and fingerprint scanner will be embedded beneath such. The next iPhone is also expected to feature a glass back and would be surrounded by metal edges as was done on the iPhone 4 and iPhone 4s.
New reports, however, claim that none of these speculations are true and that the upcoming design of the iPhone 8 will be like no one has ever seen before. Slash Gear reports that while an all-glass body sounds silly, it is to be noted that Apple earlier invested in an Arizona Glass facility, but such investment went nowhere.
It could be that it already has the iPhone 8 concept then, but since almost everyone protects their new iPhones with cases upon purchase then what sense would and all-glass body make? Some realistic expectations for the next iPhone would be the OLED screen with Touch ID sensors all over it plus an updated processor and a host of slight upgrades.
Other rumors say that the iPhone 8 will be completely clear so that users can see through it and that it can be used for an augmented reality experience similar to Microsoft's HoloLens. Other reports also say that the next iPhone will have an increased 3D compatibility and that the battery would be more efficient and would last longer.
